are not as damageable as pure natural gold and therefore easier to
handle - also for beginners. The gold layer is much thinner compared
to grinded gold leaves. Gold on Base is not the same as composition

which is razor thin grinded or beaten. It is a cheaper substitute
used e.g. for decorating store windows, toys made of metal or for
bookbinding. Composition gold is a mixture of brass/copper and zinc.
Additional 15% zinc makes these leaves look like real gold due to
the similar colour and reflexion of these materials and it is nearly
impossible to distinguish from real gold with
